09.21.2013 – Magna Vision is the local distributor of home media for latest movies being released in Blu-ray and DVD formats organized the release of Iron Man 3 and also the collected four seasons the Mighty Avengers which was aired in the US in Disney XD. But the major release is for Iron Man 3 which hit the screens sometime in mid-April 2013. The two-day event is to celebrate for the local release of the Region 3 DVD for Iron Man 3 which features interactive activities at the Trinoma Activity Center.

09.08.2013 – It’s the first ever All-Filipino publication event that features writers, poets, and even graphic artists of the comic book medium. There were book launches, panel discussions, seminars and special guests organized by Visprint Inc. There are also participating publishers Milflores, UST Publishing House, DLSU Publishing House, Adarna, Flipside Publishing, UP Press, The UP Institute of Creative Writing, and many more surprises revealed during the event.

Toy Kingdom Now Open at SM Aura Premier!

05.18.2013 – Last Thursday SM Aura Premier had a special by invitation opening of the newest shopping mall at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. The event was graced by Hollywood A-list in Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex in the City, Flight of the Navigator) who was revealed to be the brand ambassador of the store’s clothing line. Besides the grand opening of the department store it also has other ribbon cutting ceremonies for the other stores opening during that day. Premier.

Komikon 2012: Activities & Event Coverage!

10.29.2012 – Komikon 2012 is bigger on its 8th year taking almost half the space of the lobby and occupying the function rooms for the Independent Komiks Tiangge and Komiks Kalye for special activities featuring Filipino artists making a name in the international scene. The event is bustling with activity and the main hall is no longer as jam packed as in the previous Summer Komikon last May and the introduction of the Indieket last July. Clearly this shows that there is a market for Filipino creativity through komiks.

10.20.2012 – Geekology101 photo book launch was received with great praise and for Jay Tablante is a dream come true that began some two years ago. The members of Philippine X-Men Cosplay Team were present to show their support to what Jay Tablante has contributed to the community. The launch was also graced by Alodia Gosiengfiao and Barbie Forteza as both girls where Jay’s models in the book. Also present are his photographer friends in Aly Reyes who happens to dress up as Indiana Jones and Winston Baltasar as Professor Xavier.

09.15.2012 – Best of Anime on its third year boast not only the talented cosplay competition but also the band Uchu Sentai Noiz who first had their concert in Davao City and now making a big splash at this year’s event. 09.01.2012 – Greeting the start of September is the opening day for the Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention. The registration area was open for two different queues the standard and VIP pass. Upon entering the convention hall the crowd is already heading to the booths with collectibles. The first artists to be featured in the Walk of Fame were Gabby Tiongson, Wendy Chew, and The Beast Brothers.

The Preview Night at the Toy Expo Philippines 2012!

08.22.2012 – Toy Expo was opened first to the media and their invited friends to see the preview of what the event was all about. The opening ceremonies began late in the afternoon what it aims to be a first of many expos organized by Toy Kingdom. When it opened its doors confetti exploded to usher the media to get the first glimpse what’s inside the wonderland of toys for kids and adults who had a glance of the current offerings of the brands who participated in this year’s event and what activities they will be having the parents and their children.
