Vinyl on Vinyl: Anjo Bolarda's Nasty Hills!

09.10.2013 – Fresh from the successful launch of his "Soft & Nasty" plush doll at the recently concluded STGCC (Singapore Toy Game and Comic Convention) Anjo Bolarda gets a spotlight at the Vinyl on Vinyl art gallery for his first ever solo show featuring new works and some exclusive prints.

The launch happened last Saturday at the VoV to friends, colleagues, and walk-in visitors who have heard of his works by word of mouth. Quite a festive night as new works where on exhibit and it will run for the next two weeks.

HERAKUT in Manila: Post Live Art Coverage!

08.10.2013 – If you missed another live session with HERAKUT at the Bridge Way in Fully Booked then don’t miss out what would happen today. Yesterday was just a live art session with the amazing duo who painted a large mural in the side of the Book design section and that’s what you call great wall of art.

The session lasted for more than hours where the artists interacted with the audience who witness them go to work. The two German artists is enjoying their first time stay in Manila over the week checking out Philippine culture.

Fully Booked + Vinyl on Vinyl: HERAKUT!

08.08.2013 – HERAKUT is now in Manila brought to you by Fully Booked and Vinyl on Vinyl. They are composed of two street artists Jasmin Siddiqui, or "Hera," and Falk Lehman, "Akut," specializing in murals.

They call themselves graffiti artists for their urban lifestyle, but most of their work is commissioned and has released several art books that tell their collaborated works.

They have been painting the design bridge way section of the bookstore.

07.29.2013 – Who is Jon Burgerman? He is a NYC based artist interested in instigating improvisation and play through drawing and spectacle. Something rarely seen with other artists but there is a growing interest with his style that was also inspired followed by others the way of doodling random creations.

His first trip to the Philippines and he gets to do a talk at Vinyl on Vinyl yesterday regarding his inspirations and creations. Plus you get to see his creations at the gallery which is also being sold.

Sights & Highlights: Dream Machine at Vinyl on Vinyl!

05.30.2013 – If you missed the launch of Edwin Res Reyes’ solo exhibit in the “Dream Machine” chances are you’re still going to see it at Vinyl on Vinyl for the next two weeks. The imagination created by Reyes would astound the art aficionado in you just seeing how cool these art pieces accompanied with an exclusive resin toy.

You’ll be compelled to explore the world of Edwin Tres Reyes’ latest solo exhibit. The Dream Machine is described it as a conceptualize core, it seeks to capture the zeitgeist of an age where stories were told in purest form.

Random Things at the Block Market!

03.09.2013 – Art can be anything and it can be random how the artist expresses his/her personal reflection. There are different thoughts conveyed by unique individuals who just want to let out for the world to see. It can be anything from a simple thought to layers of personal tragedy.

The Block Market launch is what you call random expression of individuals who just want to share their thoughts from their personal experience. Some might be “random fun” or it could be layers of things we don’t actually see just a piece of the surface that lets us interpret them through our means of clarity.

Sights & Highlights: End of the World Doodle!

12.22.2012 – Maf Shareen aka Wanton Doodle best known for random creations who held a talk at Vinyl on Vinyl last night invited local doodlers to have a special collaboration which was dubbed the “art jam” of doodle of random coolness.

Doodling is a random art form of drawings that set WeeWillDoodle as wells other local doodlers that you might see their works in the streets or in some ad by a corporate company. His stay in Manila was extended due to another artists and this is his first trip to the country.

Vinyl on Vinyl Event: Surface by DEFS & VR!

09.28.2012 – There’s two new artists ready to launch their works in the upcoming exhibit at the Vinyl on Vinyl store this Saturday September 29, 2012. DEFS & VR who will have their works on exhibit from September 29 to October 17, 2012 features portraits, sculpture and some interesting pieces on display.

09.02.2012 – Vinyl on Vinyl’s first appearance at Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention was greeted with warm welcome with their partners 8-Bit Media and Invasion Comics & Collectibles.

Ever since Vinyl on Vinyl opened in 2010 we’ve been part in helping promote their gallery and launches.

STGCC 2012 has VoV present two distinct talents in Wendy Chew and Gabby Tiongson who are the main artists at the booth.

Vinyl on Vinyl: Invasion of CoolRain a Pop Life Exhibition!

08.25.2012 – CoolRain Studios x Mindstyle two-day exhibit was greeted with live art and with warm reception Friday night while it was pouring outside The Collective.

Before the art gallery was torn down to prepare for Mindstyles’ exhibit at STGCC 2012 we share you some images from the last day.

This is also the Philippine launch of the limited edition Dunkeys a parody of your legendary Chicago Bulls players from the 1990s or so what we thought.

Robotars Custom Toy Show 2 Hops to the World!

07.27.2012 – The Robotars Custom Toy Show is the sequel to the 2010 launch of the original designer resin creation by JoMike Tejido.

There are two color versions of the resin figurine of Robot Tarsiers made which comes in blank and the standard appearance in brown.

It is an independently-produced resin figure and an urban art toy based on tarsiers described as tiny primates a threatened species found in the Philippines represented for the love of urban art.
