Vinyl on Vinyl: Anjo Bolarda's Nasty Hills!

09.10.2013 – Fresh from the successful launch of his "Soft & Nasty" plush doll at the recently concluded STGCC (Singapore Toy Game and Comic Convention) Anjo Bolarda gets a spotlight at the Vinyl on Vinyl art gallery for his first ever solo show featuring new works and some exclusive prints.

The launch happened last Saturday at the VoV to friends, colleagues, and walk-in visitors who have heard of his works by word of mouth. Quite a festive night as new works where on exhibit and it will run for the next two weeks.

Press Release: Secret Fresh goes BLACK!

08.22.2013 – Secret Fresh successful re-opening is just the beginning of something big for the urban lifestyle culture. The company is not just about designer vinyl toys that launch exclusive made by well-known artists in the country it also promote the art scene.

For the upcoming weekend the next art launch will be featuring five distinct works from Kiko Escora, Archie "CHICHIMONSTER" Geotina, Noli "13LuckyMonkey" Coronado, Ali Alejandro and Steve Tirona. There will be musical performances by Major Chie, Caliph 8 (Rigor Mortiz), and Out of Scratch.

Vinyl on Vinyl + Jon Burgerman!

07.29.2013 – Who is Jon Burgerman? He is a NYC based artist interested in instigating improvisation and play through drawing and spectacle. Something rarely seen with other artists but there is a growing interest with his style that was also inspired followed by others the way of doodling random creations.

His first trip to the Philippines and he gets to do a talk at Vinyl on Vinyl yesterday regarding his inspirations and creations. Plus you get to see his creations at the gallery which is also being sold.

Random Things at the Block Market!

03.09.2013 – Art can be anything and it can be random how the artist expresses his/her personal reflection. There are different thoughts conveyed by unique individuals who just want to let out for the world to see. It can be anything from a simple thought to layers of personal tragedy.

The Block Market launch is what you call random expression of individuals who just want to share their thoughts from their personal experience. Some might be “random fun” or it could be layers of things we don’t actually see just a piece of the surface that lets us interpret them through our means of clarity.

For this year a collaboration between Lynyrd Paras that launched its latest designer toy in “Piyukherts” that is on display since its gala night on October 2, 2012.

Piyukherts is a creation by Lynyrd Paras that featured a girl who has a crystal gem in hand while described having dazzling facets can be as deceivingly deadly.

10.06.2012 – The Jeepney is an iconic king of the Philippine roads made from army surplus from WW II and until today it is the mode of transportation to Filipino commuters. These “mini” buses is not just your run on the mill four wheel machine it has become part of the Philippine pop culture.

The colourful jeepneys have become a canvass of art work thus it is appropriate to celebrate its contribution to the Philippine community. Not just the vehicle that brings you to point A to B but to inspire just like the recently concluded Jeepney Arts Festival.
