IndieKet 2013: Event Details & More!

08.09.2013 – Komikon Indieket is back on its second year focusing on the independent publishing where new Filipino made comics gets introduced. If last year’s event brought in new material and introducing artists who had their work sold out then the second one will be a little bit bigger.



Indieket gives spotlight to the small market that you rarely see in your local comic shop. It’s where original material gets discovered away from established publishers. It’s more like what APE (Alternative Print Expo) does in the US. Read more »

Komikon 2012: Komikasi with LIKE Man!

11.02.2012 – Komikon 2012 bought the best talents with growing exhibitors every there also have been certain variety of interest. The ideas have been crossing boundaries beyond creator owned komiks it translates to other interesting hobbies. Take the booth of Komikasi and LIKE Man who released the Flirt Cards which also brought the Komikon Exclusive Travel Edition which was only available for this particular event. They also are promoting some of their computer games that you might find it interesting.

Komikon 2012: Indie Tiangge & Komiks Kalye!

10.30.2012 – Komikon 2012 expands floor space taking out the conference rooms and almost half of the lobby which used to be the hangouts for regular attendees. During the Summer Komikon the conference rooms were reserved for special guest artists who would conduct a talk or a particular workshop. For the annual 8th Komikon they maximize the use of the rooms for “Independent Komiks Tiangge” and "Komiks Kayle".

Komikon 2012: Upcoming Launches & New Floor Map!

10.24.2012 – The much awaited Komikon 2012 happens this weekend of October 27, 2012 at the Bayanihan Center in Unilab Complex.

We've previously revealed the floor plan in any case you might get lost. But this time around Komikon has officially released a more detailed layout on who’s who of independent publishers at the Independent Komiks Tiangge.



There’s also a lot of indie komiks going to be launched on this one day event so keep your eyes peeled for some interesting finds and as everyone has reiterated just load up your funds for this weekend as things will be crazy. Read more »

10.11.2012 – APE, the Alternative Press Expo is happening this weekend at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco USA. There are lots of scheduled events happening on October 13 to 14, 2012 which will also have talks and workshops.

PRESS RELEASE: APE Returns to San Francisco!

10.10.2012 – The Alternative Press Expo (APE) returns to San Francisco USA this weekend on October 13 and 14 at the Concourse Exhibition Center, 635 8th Street. The event had a successful one in 2011 having a bigger exhibit hall. APE is one of the must-attend comic book related event of the year.

A Sleeper Hit in The Crime Fighting Call Center Agents!

07.27.2012 – A few weeks ago Noel Pascual and AJ Bernardo changed the way a bunch of Call Center Agents turned into Crime Fighting adventurers or so we thought they were when they rolled out the very first issue of the “Crime-Fighting Call Center Agents.”

Komikon: Indieket 2012 Convention Coverage!

07.14.2012 – Komikon’s Indieket had a huge turn out and this event was geared to promote the independent Philippine comics scene. The event definitely gave the independent comic book publishers a voice that is hardly noticed in other conventions in the country. Komikon has definitely re-energized the Philippine comic book scene promoting the local culture since its inception in 2005. The rest followed suit giving the independent publishers a chance to promote and bring back the “Komiks” industry AND make this a reality.
