Thundercats Classic: Lion-O! (8" Inch Scale Series)

08.17.2013 – Lion-O the iconic lord of the Thundercats has been the focal point of the original series as well as the recently cancelled modern series from 2011. Bandai manufactured the toy line up until Warner Bros. Animation canceled the TV series.

It left a cliffhanger similar to what happened to the Mike Young produced Masters of the Universe. You’ll never know what happened after that series ending episode. But the toys continued to sell but not as popular as you expected.

New Thundercats: Mumm-Ra! (4" Inch Scale Series)

08.01.2013 – Mumm-Ra is one of those memorable villains in cartoon that could have been more known if it not for the series cancellation in mid-2012. The new Thundercats offered more about Mumm-Ra than he was portrayed in the original 1985 cartoon.

The new series was purely unrelated to the classic it gives you an idea that this mummy is not from Third Earth. The original action figure that was manufactured by LJN have the mummy version available through mail away where you collect the UPC purchase that you need to send in acquiring this most feared creature.

Sighted: Thundercats on Clearance!

06.03.2013 – It’s been clearance for the past months that started with the basic figures which was originally retailed at PhP 599.75 pesos. The four inch figures from the very first wave with the exception of Lion-O went down to PhP 300.00 pesos late last year.

Now that Warner Bros. Animation has officially canceled the new series which lasted 26 episodes for one season leaving a cliffhanger that revealed much more potential for the show. The toys by Bandai didn't took off as what you’d expect but fans of the classic series was hoping the release of the original cartoon characters would expand.

STGCC 2012: Falcon's Hanger feat. Thunderscats!

09.03.2012 – Falcon’s Hanger one of the exhibitors who participated in the recently concluded Singapore To Game and Comic Convention (STGCC) not only have a booth promoting their store they are the ones who brought in the an exclusive.

This particular exclusive is based from an episode of the classic series from the 1980s which prompt them release a red version of the Lion-O 8” figure which eventually reveals to be Mumm-Ra the Thundercats’ powerful nemesis.

STGCC 2012: Thundercats Lion-O Falcon's Hanger Exclusive!

08.31.2012 – The Falcon’s Hanger a Singapore-based toy distributor collaborates with Bandai Asia to release an exclusive for the Singapore Toy Game and Comic Convention from the Thundercats Classics figure series. It’s a red repaint of the Classic Lion-O which is the disguise Mumm-Ra assumed based from the 1st season finale in the episode “Fond Memories.”

The exclusive 8 inch figure can only be purchased at The Falcon’s Hanger booth C12/14, D13/15 which will be its official debut at STGCC 2012.

Toy Expo 2012: Bandai Headlines Ben 10, Gundam, Thundercats & Power Rangers!

08.23.2012 – Bankee Trading has pull out all the stops in presenting their Bandai booth featuring products from Ben 10, Gundam, Power Rangers and the Thundercats toy lines. There are also interactive areas featuring Ben 10 and Thundercats role playing toys.

The center piece upon entering the Bandai booth welcomes you to the Power Rangers line featuring the Super Samurai toy line including the upcoming releases from action figures to Megazords.

The Unreleased Thundercats Toys in the Philippines!

07.06.2012 – If the planet of Thundera is doomed in the original series what happens now after the first season of the Thundercats has ended last month? There was still licensed merchandise coming out even though the series as loomed in limbo.

Bandai the toy manufacturer who brought back the toys has gone and released a third wave of those 4” and 6” inch action figures. The Philippines only got the first wave since last April courtesy of Bankee Trading which is the toy distributor for all Bandai products.
