Clash of the Champions: DC Heroes VS MOTU!

09.02.2013 – It’s no big secret but if you grew up in the 1980s and have seen He-Man and the Master of the Universe on television chances your familiar with the current iteration of the comic book series as well as the toys that came with it.

MOTU fans have been supporting the toy line since interested started in the early 2000s that produced a new TV series by Mike Young productions that ended quickly similar to the new Thundercats. But the interest never died that DC Comics published a new series.

Flying Colors Comics Celebrates with Jim Lee!

08.24.2013 – Flying Colors Comics and Other Stuff has been around for the past 25 years and it was known to have founded Free Comic Book Day by store proprietor Joe Field. For the month of September the store is celebrating its anniversary.

Flying Colors Comics earned the 1995 Will Eisner "Spirit of Comics" Award for Retailing Excellence, a "Hall-of-Fame" award recognized internationally among comic book professionals. So for this coming month they will have Jim Lee at their store.

SDCC 2013 PRESS RELEASE: Man of Steel Sequel Announced!

07.21.2013 – Maybe it must be too much to absorb what went down when Zach Snyder the director of the recently released Man of Steel film that brought back Superman to the status quo of fandom. The man behind 300 and Sucker Punch drop in an announced.

Of course you have to be there physically to have that “feel” of his presence and thousands of miles away it was never been the same. You must be thinking if this was all too real to keep up. Sure there were a lot of things to take in but hey this is Zack Snyder who also directed The Watchmen but Man of Steel was a different animal.

07.21.2013 – Reveal after big reveals have been unveiled today at the DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. panel gave the fans a frenzied reaction to moving forward with the future in the movie department that of course now a common knowledge.

There also “little things that matter” which could build up the reputation of the company not only in the movies but also in the small screen.

06.13.2013 – Man of Steel was well received during the press media screening last Tuesday and the release of the film yesterday proves that it’s going to earn more than its predecessor. As expected the news has come earlier than expected and it earned more than one superhero can muster.

The new, origin film of Superman flew off to a blockbuster start yesterday as “Man of Steel” surpassed the industry's all-time opening day record with a nationwide gross of a monumental PhP 69.52-M pesos.

Non-Spoiler Review: The Man of Steel!

06.12.2013 – The Man of Steel has been getting heavy promotions the past few days having the actors appear in US talk shows while DC Entertainment pushes the film in revealing more than TV spots as well as never before seen trailers.

Yesterday it has also showed the red carpet premier live feed online and the Philippines is one of the countries that gets to have a special press media screening that was graced by local celebrities and personalities. A few days earlier it had a special promotional exhibit at second biggest mall in the world.

Captain Steel appears in Earth 2 #13 a Filipino!

06.09.2013 – Originally known as Commander Steel or some calls him Citizen Steel that was created by Gerry Conway and Don Heck who first made its literary birth in Steel, The Indestructible Man #1 in 1978 where his adventures is set in the World War II.

This is not to be confused with the current character that made its New 52 debut in Earth 2 #13 which changed Steel’s heritage that he was Filipino by birth which was announced early this year by writer James Robinsons during the panel at Wondercon. But certainly it’s getting widespread media attention in the Philippines.

Catwoman certainly is one hot pussy cat to appreciate as the brush strokes and amount of detail getting a lot of LIKEs is something to be amazed about.

Artist Scott Clark Remembered.

02.23.2013 – Long time comic book artist Scott Clark who made a name when he was working for Jim Lee’s Wildstorm imprint has past away at the age of 43. This report was announced courtesy of The Out Housers.



Clark best known for his work in the original Storm Watch series in 1992 as its main artist and it was his break out year. Read more »

The Batman Live Tour at HP Pavilion in San Jose!

09.23.2012 – This past weekend we got to experience in seeing The Batman Live World Arena Tour which started its North America show this month. We caught up with the event courtesy of our friends this past Friday at the HP Pavilion.



In some cases you didn't know it’s a bit out of “human” standards that you might not want to end up living in one. Its proprietor is The Prince of Darkness Count Dracula who finally grants his first-ever interview in conjunction with the opening of the 3D animated monster comedy “Hotel Transylvania” where he plays the lead role. DC Comics announces "Justice League of America" for The New 52


Announced at this year's Fan Expo Toronto during the DC Entertainment-All Access Sunday Panel, DC Comics is bringing together writer Geoff Johns and artist David Finch for a brand new Justice League book that has familiar characters forming a new group under the guidance of Steve Trevor - say hello to the Justice League Of America! Debuting sometime in 2013, the new ongoing series for The New 52 Era will features Martian Manhunter, Katana, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Catwoman, Vibe, Stargirl, and new Green Lantern Baz, who form a group that acts a "shadow unit" under the premiere Justice League group that's headlined by Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and Cyborg. Justice League #12 cover reveals Superman/ Wonder Woman as a couple


Revealed by Entertainment Weekly, the variant cover to Justice League #12 by artist Jim Lee paints a new status quo in The New 52 era of DC Comics - Superman and Wonder Woman are now literally a "power couple", shown in this cover to be hovering and teasing a passionate kiss during the sunset. With Lois Lane dating somebody else other than Clark Kent, this leaves the door open for the Man Of Steel to date the Amazon Warrior for real. DC Chief Creative Officer and JL writer Geoff Johns says the relationship is legit, and "it will have an impact that reaches far beyond the ultimate power couple". Ben Affleck in talks with WB to helm "Justice League"


Much news has been going around for the superhero movie industry. After Marvel and Disney confirmed that Joss Whedon would be returning to direct the Avengers sequel and help work on the untitled TV series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (as well as signing an exclusive deal that keeps him with the studio until 2015), Warner Bros. is stepping up their game by approaching a known director and actor to helm their much awaited Justice League film. That man is none other than The Town director Ben Affleck, who himself played a superhero in the form of 20th Century Fox's 2003 film adaptation of the Marvel Comics superhero Daredevil. The studio has already hired Will Beall to write the script, and now talks are to bring the Academy Award and Golden Globe winner on board to take on DC's finest team of superheroes.
