The character was a native of the Potowatomi tribesman and has been an iconic partner of the Lone Ranger in various media. In the new film three-time Best Actor Oscar-nominee Johnny Depp stars as Native American warrior Tonto (now as a Comanche tribesman) in Disney/Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ epic, action adventure “The Lone Ranger.” |
